As the founder of TATANKA and the “Orchestra Americana,” I’m thrilled to share with you the culmination of my creative collaboration with AI to create a vast and diverse library of music. Still a traditional musician/composer, since 2017 I have collaborated with AI to develop hundreds of concept multimedia albums – thousands of songs and pieces – to create demos for potential TATANKA talent and founding members. I will continue to do so but for now, I hope you simply enjoy my present output.
I embarked on this AI Gen creative journey for three reasons:

The Porch Light Hours is a free, eighty-seven minute instrumental Halloween album in 30 tracks, from gothic organ and folk-horror to cozy jazz and quiet ambient, each with its own field recordings. Built to play from the first leaf crunch at dusk to the last click of the porch light.
Halloween Eve is a free 12-track, 33-minute instrumental concept album for the night before Halloween. A nursery-rhyme motif travels one eerie, cozy night on Maple Street, from music box dusk to a moonlit finale. It’s a transparent human-AI collaboration with no vocals and no gore, built for headphones, candlelight, and pumpkin carving.
A night clerk inherits a haunted hotel’s diary of ghost sightings and discovers it is an unfinished testimony: a lawman shot four steps from the door, a child who saw too much, and a bride who was never told the truth. The Night Ledger is a nine-track gothic folk and dark Americana concept album with a companion short story, free to stream and download.
Silence, On Coupe is the original soundtrack to a 1962 French New Wave film that was never shot. Fourteen pieces (42:56) were generated with Google Flow Music (Lyria 3.5) and cut by hand in Audacity on Linux, with strings severed mid-note and silence used as rhythm. Includes the full French treatment and English translation, plus a free 320 kbps MP3 download.
A free ten-track journey album for Intersex Awareness Day, October 26. Each song opens with a short, plain-language fact about what intersex means, then moves from silence through the 1996 Boston protest to consent, pride, remembrance, and everyday joy.
Solemn Sunday Soundtrack II is a 46-track, 1 hour 25 minute felt piano instrumental album for quiet reflection. Warm solo cello, sparse nylon guitar, airy strings and a faint harmonium drift through long silences, with no drums, no vocals, and no hurry.
