adaptations

adaptations is both a protest and a promise.

each song in this project is a long-form reimagining of an iconic track – transformed, expanded, and reclaimed through the lens of the outsider. in a divided america where the social contract is shattered and belonging feels like a myth, these adaptations echo the pain, rage, and longing of the many communities targeted and marginalized by the real-life project 2025.

this is a double entendre with purpose; not only are these tracks aural adaptations, but each is as a call to adapt—resist, survive, evolve. as white male power structures cling to a dying monopoly through hate, control, and erasure, adaptations confronts that decay with radical empathy, hardened truth, and artistic rebellion.

tatanka doesn’t just name the wound – we respond with action. our own project 2025, found at p25.site, is a love-fueled, pragmatic alternative to counter authoritarianism with creativity, community, and courage. this music is a mixtape for solidarity, a lullaby for justice, and a challenge to do – to fight for the change we know is to come, for us all.
