TATANKA will support and model rDEI, radical Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity.
Question: What is rDEI?
Answer: Let’s define the current scope of marginalized groups, to understand how rDEI is not so “radical” after all.
Marginalized groups and communities include Indigenous peoples, Black communities, people of color, enslaved and formerly enslaved descendants, immigrants and refugees, undocumented people, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, women and girls under patriarchy, people with disabilities, sex workers, neurodivergent people, the Deaf community, people with chronic illness, religious minorities, ethnic minorities, linguistic minorities, caste-oppressed communities, itinerant peoples, formerly incarcerated people, unhoused people, people in poverty, exploited laborers, survivors of abuse and trafficking, anyone facing ageism, youth in state care, orphans, people in war zones, colonized populations, occupied peoples, remote communities, environmental justice communities, people affected by climate displacement, mental health survivors, indigenous language keepers, cultural minorities, stateless people, and anyone systematically excluded from power, safety, dignity, or self-determination by social, economic, political, or historical forces.
