Sluggo was more than just a band; it was a collaboration of talented individuals who shared a passion for music. Ken Sluiter, a brilliant songwriter and audio engineer, brought creativity and technical expertise to the group. Bob Braitkrus, a multi-instrumentalist, added depth with his bass skills and backup vocals. Randall “Tex” Cobb, our trusty drummer, kept our rhythm tight like a metronome.

Together, we crafted original rock music that resonated with our audiences. From energetic performances at local venues to late-night jam sessions in the studio, every moment was filled with creativity and camaraderie. Our shared love for music fueled our drive to push boundaries and explore new sounds.

The experiences shared with Ken, Bob, and Tex shaped me both musically and personally, leaving a lasting impact on my journey in music.
Stepping Aside: A Farewell
As life took me back to Carbondale, Illinois, to complete my degree, I had to make the difficult decision to step aside from Sluggo. Though parting ways with the band was bittersweet, I am grateful for the time spent creating music with such talented individuals. The memories and lessons from my time with Sluggo will always hold a special place in my heart.
