This is a long one. 32 tracks, one hour twenty-six minutes, all at 132 BPM. I’d suggest headphones and a night when you don’t have anywhere to be.

The place. Picture a Bangkok club inside a flooded cave at 4 a.m. The bass is heavy and rubbery, with a slow swing that never rushes you. The kick is tight and dry, and the hats shuffle on the offbeat with a metallic ring. The claps are drenched in cave reverb, so they sound like they’re bouncing off wet stone. I kept it minimal and sparse on purpose. There are no cheesy vocals and no EDM supersaws, just groove and space.

The memory. The hook is a detuned music box, half-melted, that drifts in and out like something you almost remember. It’s the thread through the whole night. Alongside it is a whispered, pitched-down vocal chop that I used as percussion. You’ll feel it more than you’ll hear it.

The drop. The tension builds on filtered noise risers. Then the bass disappears for eight bars, leaving only the music box and some room to breathe, before the kick slams back in. I’d wait for that moment and let it hit.

The journey. The record moves in three stretches:

  • Into the night. The club, the dark, and the sub bass.
  • Out into the street. The next ten tracks carry you through the club and out into the 4 a.m. street, with plenty of variety in sound along the way.
  • Homecoming. At 5 a.m. the last ten tracks start the walk home. It’s still dynamic and still moving, but it ends with you safe, sound, exhausted, and elated, with the sunrise coming in at the entrance.

How it was made. It’s a human-led, AI-assisted project. I worked with Google Flow Music (Lyria 3.5), Claude, ChatGPT, and Perchance for the art. I assembled and shaped everything in Audacity 4 (alpha) on Ubuntu 26.04, with open-source software wherever I could. The full mix is free to download as a 320 kbps MP3, and it’s also on YouTube.

Thanks for listening, and welcome home.
