Most content generated by OpenAI’s ChatGPT Free using the new multimodal GPT-4o (available as a desktop app for macOS now, and Windows soon, but we run on Linux, so we simply used the OpenAI web interface or another powered by GPT4o), further empowering humanity.

What began as a multimedia Ode to a Wildflower evolved into something grand and intricate, not to mention insightful and beautiful. All I did was take cues from GPT-4o and riff off them with each iterative prompt, to collaborate with, instead of merely dictating to, GPT-4o.

We are cross-posting this on all three of our initiatives, ISCed.org, TATANKA.site and ChurchofAI.website to illustrate how GPT-4o can specifically benefit each, in turn better addressing and solving the challenges of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

OpenAI will release more intelligence and more powerful tools to ChatGPT’s Free users over time, but for now, below is a current real-world case study in the potential of GPT-4o. Also, since GPT-4o supports fifty languages, we additionally used it for multilingual translations, each linked to within our summary.

To leverage these features as they roll out, go to chatgpt.com.

First things first. A bit of a backstory. For the past few years I have been converting my entire garden from annuals to perennials, including flowers. Yesterday the first “wildflower” bloomed, which inspired me to kick the tires of the newly announced GPT-4o for our purposes. Here is a photo of said Shasta Daisy:

Ain’t she a beauty?

OK, let’s get productive! Since the Microsoft Edge web browser is already powered by GPT-4o, we used it to model just how easy this is!

Task 1: Generate an original image for this project.

GPT-4o’s response:

Ah, OK. I need to be more specific but that description makes an ideal text prompt for OpenAI’s DALL·E 3:

And Bingo was her name-o!

Next I needed a poem to jazz things up, add relevant content for SEO, the usual. The image struck me as a spotlight on an individual among an otherwise general context, so I edited the prompt to reflect the change in direction. Plus, I want to be iterative so one asset inspires another, etc.Would you please generate a free-verse poem based on the following descriptions?

A vast prairie under a bright blue sky, with no clouds in sight, providing a clear and cheerful atmosphere.

Green grasses cover the ground, stretching into the horizon, creating a lush and vibrant setting.

A single REGAL Shasta Daisy PROUDLY stands tall in the center of the image. The daisy has a sturdy green stem, topped with large, radiant white petals that surround a bright yellow center.

Bright sunlight enhances the vivid colors of the grass and the daisy, casting soft shadows that add depth to the scene.

Emphasize the isolation of the Shasta Daisy, standing out against the expansive prairie and sky, symbolizing a sense of royalty as well as resilience, and elegance.

Dig This!

In a sea of green, under an endless azure dome, where the sky kisses the horizon, there stands a solitary queen.

Grass whispers secrets, stretching in waves, a lush carpet of life, vibrant, vivid, alive.

In the heart of this expanse, one regal Shasta Daisy stands proud, tall, a beacon of elegance.

Its stem, a pillar of strength, rises through the green, lifting petals like radiant crowns, a white corona around a golden heart.

Sunlight dances, painting shadows soft and deep, colors blooming brighter, as if the world breathes light.

In this vast prairie, she stands alone, isolated yet exalted, a symbol of resilience, a solitary sovereign, gracing the land with silent majesty. Author: OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4o

(Finger snaps…)

OK. Now, let’s do some heavy media lifting.

(Verse 1)

In a sea of green, I find my place,

Under an endless azure dome,

Where the sky kisses the horizon,

I stand alone, I call this home.

(Chorus)

Oh, I am the solitary queen,

In this prairie, bright and serene,

With my petals like a radiant crown,

I stand tall, I won’t back down.

(Verse 2)

Grass whispers secrets, stretching in waves,

A lush carpet of life, vibrant, alive,

In the heart of this expanse, I remain,

A beacon of elegance, I survive.

(Chorus)

Oh, I am the solitary queen,

In this prairie, bright and serene,

With my petals like a radiant crown,

I stand tall, I won’t back down.

(Bridge)

Sunlight dances, casting shadows deep,

Colors bloom brighter, in this land I keep,

A symbol of resilience, proud and free,

In this vast prairie, I am royalty.

(Chorus)

Oh, I am the solitary queen,

In this prairie, bright and serene,

With my petals like a radiant crown,

I stand tall, I won’t back down.

(Outro)

Isolated yet exalted, I reign with grace,

A solitary sovereign, in this endless space,

Gracing the land with silent majesty,

In this sea of green, forever I’ll be.

My Bad

I need to be more specific, but I do like how GPT-4o adapted its poem into lyrics, so I will use that as a musical song generation prompt.

As of press time, GPT-4o cannot generate what I need, but no stranger to Stability AI’s StableAudio.com, I outsourced this task using and adapting GPT-4o’s song description for the text to music prompt:

Please generate a New Age acoustic song based on the following. Meter: 4/4. Tempo: 90 BPM: Otherwise you have carte blanche to use your creative imagination and WOW me with your masterpiece!

Title: Solitary Queen of the Prairie Wildflowers

Mood & style: A serene and uplifting melody with a touch of majesty.

Intro: Start with soft, ambient sounds that mimic the vastness of the prairie. Use gentle piano or strings.

Verse: Add a light guitar or piano melody, keeping it elegant.

Chorus: Build up with fuller instrumentation—layered strings, gentle drums, and a richer piano or guitar to emphasize the majesty and resilience.

Bridge: Introduce a change in the chord progression, adding depth and emotion.

Outro: Return to the softer sounds, fading out to reflect the endless prairie.

Here is the original MP3: https://t.ly/2IHcn

AI, where have you been all my life?

I wanted a longer fade, so being an Open Source devotee, I used Audacity 3.1.3 (Paulstretch + Studio Fade) running on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS (64b).

That’s the ticket!

Final Audio

  • WAV – 65.5 MB – Lossless: 2822 kbps
  • FLAC – 32.7 MB – Lossless: 1499 kbps
  • OGG – 8.0 MB – Lossy: 499 kbps
  • MP3 – 7.4 MB – Lossy: 320 kbps

Now for the magic.

Kinda.

I planned to see if GPT-4o generates responsive videos from audio, in this case the MP3 above. I ran out of free access for the day but fear not, I outsourced another contraption in my AI tool belt, Specterr.com, to use the AI-generated image and audio as fodder to create a “visualizer video.” For full effect, I wanted to add lyrics but I was not crazy about Spectrr’s options, so yet again I turned to another Open Source solution, Kdenlive 23.08.4, for the lyrics.

Et Voila

Final Video

  • MP4 – 85.7 MB – 1280 × 720 – H.264 – 30 fps
