To the Listener,

There is a quiet, fragile intimacy in watching rain streak across a window pane at midnight. Each droplet catches the blurred, amber glow of streetlights, holding a fleeting moment of warmth before running down the glass and dissolving into the dark.

That liquid threshold between the cold noise outside and the warm stillness within is where this record lives. Noise Against the Glass began as a singular vocal, a simple bassline, and a dream of building a sonic sanctuary out of fuzz, reverb, and memory.

Across these tracks, I coaxed the sound to evolve naturally, starting with heavy, enveloping walls of Shoegaze distortion, moving through delicate counterpoints of acoustic finger-picking, and finally peeling away every layer of electric noise until only the raw 12-string wood, steady bass, and two female and male blending voices remained.

My hope as a sound designer was to capture the physical weight of those moments, the air in the room, the resonance of the wooden body, the gentle decay of a guitar swell, and the quiet space where two harmonies meet and ideally dance.

Before you drop the needle, lower the lights, pour something warm, and let the rain wash over you. Thank you for stepping into this ethereal space with me.
