Monday — Dread & Resistance
AI Process/Open Source Software: HUMAN, Google Flow Music (Lyria 3.5), Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Perchance.org – DAW: Audacity 4 (alpha), OS: Linux (Ubuntu 26.04)
Figuratively: the crash back to reality, the “Sunday scaries” made real, forced routine, grinding gears.
Sound: Alternative Rock, 1990s Noise-Pop, Slacker-Pop, heavy reluctant drums, droning bassline, clean verse guitars building into fuzz-heavy distorted chorus chords, detached male vocals, sweet melodic delivery shifting to raw vocal dynamics, mid-tempo, 108 BPM, key of E minor, dynamic loud-quiet-loud, lo-fi aesthetic
Lyrics:
[Intro]
[Verse 1]
Warm pillow under grass
Sun burning on my head
Green flies on my feet
Clock rings loud and sharp
Cold lake hits my chest
[Chorus]
Kick hard kick hard
Kick hard kick hard
(Swim across)
Kick hard kick hard
I am cutting through
I am starting back
[Verse 2]
Dark weeds wrap my feet
Big fish sleep below
Chest tight like a trap
No breath left to keep
Spit the water out
[Chorus]
Kick hard kick hard
Kick hard kick hard
(Swim across)
Kick hard kick hard
I am cutting through
I am starting back
[Bridge]
Cold mud
Deep tank
Wake up
Wake up
(Don’t look back)
Wake up
[Chorus]
Kick hard kick hard
Kick hard kick hard
(Swim across)
Kick hard kick hard
I am cutting through
I am starting back
[Outro]
Other side
Other side
Get out
Get out
